Almonds

They are a good nut to eat as they are very high in linoleic acid which is the body’s main essential fatty acid and the other fat in almond is polyunsaturated which is a good fat to have.  Almond oil is a stable oil and can be used on the skin or for massage therapy or in salad dressings.  They contain high levels of calcium and therefore almond milk is a good alternative to dairy and can be made easily at home.  Almond milk can be beneficial for coughs or asthma.  They are also a good source of vitamins B and E.  Also contain the minerals copper, iron, phosphorus, potassium and zinc, magnesium and manganese in good amounts.  Almonds are great little sources of protein too, so include in your diet.  They can be added to just about anything or eat on their own!  Many gluten free baked products use almond meal instead of flour.
